I don't see how any of the things you mentionned are a reason for not have any real and good thoughtful discussion.

I was issued a seven day ban over "violating" global rule 3 a few days ago for a post on /ck/ about Arbys. It was up for three days and had 150 posts before it was deleted and the ban was issued.
To be fair, I appealed and it was quickly lifted, but still.
