These type of threads are almost always meant to start a flamewar and to spit on "progressives", and even if you didn't start it with that intent it would still attract the same type of people like in picture related.
The first and fourth reply to your thread proved it really well.
So they deleted it. Simple video game discussions is worth way more than politics in video games. It's a way more safe subject to discuss.
As long as /v/ has a majority of underage posters and /pol/ spams /pol/itics threads on it, /v/ will never be saved. GG didn't help. In fact, GG brought in so many new people and increased the shitposting by 600% probably. I pulled that figure out of my ass, but I'm sure it's a high percentage.
