What does it really mean? Some people seem to treat it as if it means "making a low quality post" regardless of the sincerity of the poster.
I tend to disagree with this however, making a sincere bad post is just a bad post. I also wouldn't call it shitposting if someone is intentionally trying to be a dick.
So therefore I would say shitposting requires the person to intentionally make low quality of off topic posts, but not with the express intention of causing trouble.
In other words, I tend to think of it as if
