depends on what you want to do with your body. If what you do makes you look like an insane person who is a danger to themself, then you'll get locked up if someone knows of it and reports you. Barring that you can do almost anything to your own body.

Look up suicide and assisted suicide laws
Look up abortion laws
Look up cosmetic surgery laws (like how big a boob job is allowed to go)
There are already limitations on what you're allowed to do with your own body. Most of them are based on whether or not your modification allows you to work/contribute to society afterwards

That's more limiting the surgeons rather than limiting you. A doctor can't ethically take a cosmetic procedure too far because then the risk of harm is too great compared to whatever benefit may result.
Just because you're legally allowed to maim yourself (to the extent that you don't seem insane or suicidal), doesn't mean it's legal for other people to knowingly maim you.
