It's best when someone is being a faggot, and you want to call him out for being a faggot. Post 10 replies to faggot's post, each with a different ID and writing style, telling poster he's a faggot.

Wouldn't really work on a board with no IDs. But it's great on a board with IDs because most people still associate IDs with posters.

I love that, especially if the discussion is not going my way. I do it in a more subtle way. I'll write in his style, and adamantly continue his arguments. But I'll back it up with "facts" which are in fact complete bullshit and easily proven wrong.

Oh wow, what a rebel.
>>
Sometimes I like to take a pair of scissors and spin it around on my finger even though that's supposed to be dangerous.
>>
>>504278
I was so happy when they finally got rid of that. It floored me that for once moot actually made a good decision for the site.
>>
>>504320
He only made sage invisible but it's still available and functional.

https://www.4chan.org/4channews.php?all#114
>>
>>504329
I am well aware of that. I was happy he got rid of visible sage because all it ever did was distract people. The perception that it's a downvote became so strong that I could never use it when I didn't feel my post was worth bumping the thread with (the way it was intended) because people would think I was expressing disdain. Removing visible sage allows me to just sage without getting a bunch of idiots who judge my post on the fact that I used sage. I've noticed the only people who want visible sage back are the ones who have a really limited view of how sage can be used.

I used to go to a few boards on... Wakachan, I think? And they were mature enough to use sage without screaming about it. So it was nice. But 4chan just can't handle it. Every time something from those boards got linked to /jp/, we got an influx of idiots complaining about "all those blue names."
>>
>>504347
>>504320
Wrong as fuck. Newfags will never learn to sage now. Useless threads get bumped even from page 10 all the more often, even by people shitposting the thread. Hell, I doubt most of them even know it exists.
>>

Visible sage wouldn't have helped them "learn" any better. If people don't have a will to learn, they won't learn. Basically, eat shit, faggot.

>>
>>504444
Japanese people don't use it passive-aggressively. They use it because they don't want to bump every fucking thread as they go through a list of threads and make a new post.
>>
>>504451
And why don't they want to bump certain threads? Because they consider these threads to be bad.

Face it, your precious japs are a bunch of spineless passive/aggressive autists.

>>

Projection at its finest.
>>
>>504466
You're projecting too. You see the japs as better than they are.

I noticed that this thread didn't bump, you saged it. Can you explain why you saged this thread?
>>
>>504462
Why does being a swede exempt you from being a fucking idiot ?
>>
I'm of the opinion that every thread ought to be in autosage-mode anyway, and you need to actually put an anti-sage in the options field to bump the thread with your post. It should also be visible so that people know that for whatever reason, that poster thought that his post warranted to bump the thread, making it interesting and worthy of putting the topic on the front page.
That option should only be available after you've made multiple posts with the same IP in the thread, however.
To reduce thread spamming, an IP would need to be active on a board for at least 10 minutes or even more, depending on how quick traffic on each board is.
>>
>>504468
>I have no idea what projecting means and I think every anon is the same person

Very rarely, actually. I don't recall taking my trip off for anything else besides posting something that I need to have as many people see as possible (due to being filtered), such as new threads and a post with a roll image with the sole purpose of getting a thread bumped constantly.

There is, no joke, one autistic faggot who takes it upon himself to report people who post emoticons and reply with "Do not post emoticons on /a/", and has been at it for quite some time.

It's a bannable offense also

And I like /a/, I share their dislike of emoticons in general, so I don't do it there, but happily do it in threads that need to be shat up.
>>
>>508585
Because that's uncreative and unfulfilling unless you are 12? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for upsetting autists, and I appreciate seeing someone put in work doing so, but those little shitposts are just pointless. They go through the same routine.

It's normal board culture to report emoticons and ban people for them on /a/ but some take it more seriously than others.
>>

>>
>>508693
Thanks for clearing it up, that was what I meant. I cringed at the level of autism I found on the archives when searching that.

Is it really one guy making that same exact post, multiple times a day, day after day? And he's been at it for how long? A year? Longer?
>>
>>508711
There's multiple cases of those, like the guy who responds to every keit-ai meme. Here's a tripfag that does something similar as well
http://desustorage.org/a/search/tripcode/!PLS%2FGOv3qU/
He posts normally as anon, but switches to that whenever he calls out newfags. There's rare exceptional instances where he called out newfaggorty just as a joke, but for the most part the dedication sure is something. Not that surprising by /a/ standards tho.
>>
>>508766
That is an exceptional level of autism. The boards I frequent are slower and more normal, so it's not something I'm used to seeing.

>Observe how people start agreeing and having the same opinion as you do, just because of their herd mentality.
>Turn around and start arguing against your actually poorly argued opinion.
>Anyone who argues against you will inevitably use something you came up with yourself and used faulty reasoning for, and you also remember all of the good arguments that people used against you.
>Crush all opposition.

didn't sage and noko get phased out once a lot of the 4chan x features got implemented into 4chan?
>>
>>510638
Noko is used automatically, but you can still type sage and nonoko in the options field and they will work.

People really get desperate about those reddit insults. I like to cut them of and tell THEM to go to Reddit, or Tumblr, before they can use it. It's especially funny if I do it right after saying some extremely "SJW-ish" thing.

If this thread doesn't exemplify why most people don't want to spend the time to actually write an articulate response to a post that is more than likely made just to get attention then all I have to say to you is, wow, hilarious, thanks.

>talk shit

I like mine more because it has a higher chance of annoying people.

Unless they themselves are a newfag also, I doubt it has any effect on anyone who's been here long enough. The word cuck is relatively more effective probably, although bannable offense on certain boards. Just fyi

>post thread

In my threads I am more angry/insulting than I normally would be to make sure an argument starts and my thread keeps getting bumped

>make a particularly stupid post

The many embellishments in this piece I believe harken back to the rococo artistic movement of the 18th century, with the lighting and aesthetics creating a seamless finish most would not try to replicate out of fear. The details seen are overall flawless, and create an apotheosis of sorts; giving the subject of this picture enlightenment to a higher plane of existence.

I like to think that this post is a critique on post-modern revivalism, creating an already stark contrast between the upper-class elite and lower-status working class. The brushstrokes seen here complement the simplistic design choices; making one wonder: have we really come this far?
>>
>>512984
Damn, I wish this post had come a bit earlier. I would have used it in a /tv/ thread about the line "From my point of view, the Jedi are evil" and it would have worked.

I say something that is blatantly wrong so people provide me with arguments as to why I'm wrong, and then save those arguments for future use.

I can't articulate my points very well so I have other anons do it for me.

Dude, I do this too. Usually with arguments about politics, which I don't understand in the least. High five.
>>
Why do people bother doing all these elaborate 4chan mind games? Seems pretty pointless to me, especially seeing as most active posters do it, so it's basically trolls trolling trolls.

When I don't know the source of something I say something along the lines "Oh man, I love [something that is not what that image depicts]" and I get at least five flustered people giving me the actual source. This works well because you don't get the >hurr spoonfeeding accusations that come with asking for sauce normally.
