One of the big banner contests was /a/ exclusive so we ended up with a disproportionate amount of anime banners. At some point Moot said he was gonna remove some of the lower quality /a/ banners after the next banner contest, and that was what happened. I don't know if that's when those five were removed. They may have been removed due to going "too far" to be used as banners on worksafe boards. Even 4chan has limits.

The top one is pretty self explanatory: we haven't been 4chan.net for a fair few years now. I did like that one though, it had that rascal temperament long before the stormfags came along and spread their political is personal worldview over everything and made it impossible to have fun with something without it being an overarching black and white political statement.
