April fools day is over and what not. Can we delete 90% of the threads up right now and go back to attempting to discuss videogames? An entire day dedicated to what should have been on /b/ alone is really shitty and I guarantee this is going to continue for days.

It isn't exactly a mystery. He wanted to piss off the people who kept boogeymanning Reddit by creating an actual Reddit board on the site. (It's based on SRS, or "Shit Reddit Says".) Then it just became some weird ironic posting board which doesn't particularly resemble Reddit. I suppose maybe it's similar to the "circlejerk" subs (a word Reddit lifted from 4chan, like shitpost, and gave its own meaning).
