I support this. It doesn't matter if it's slow or not, in fact for a torrent board it's kind of better if it is slow so the links last longer.
The only thing I'd be afraid of is the mountain of whining and bitching here on /qa/ and in the feedback from people who want some other new board concept to be made before this one.
I worry that a really active torrent board would draw unwanted attention to 4chan. Sites like TPB and Nyaa mange to stay afloat because they're hosted outside of the US.
Also, torrents aren't really discussion so I think they generally don't have a place on 4chan at all.

I have a large collection of rare and valuable photos for example or space rockets (old and new), Art (paintings), Blueprints of vehicles and such and a lot more. I'd like to share and find more collections, but when most people and threads on the board are porn related, I don't think I'll have much chance.

this is the biggest problem 4chan has: people frequently assume that just because something they like isn't currently being discussed, that it is unwanted. a large number of people expect others to start threads about topics that they are interested in instead of starting the topics themselves.
you should post what you like and then if it is ignored, don't post it again. /t/ is fairly slow, give your threads a chance.

It's this cool AJAX chatroom where you can upload pictures or videos next to your post. It's kinda like IRC except slower and with this mechanic where rooms are separated into categories, and then each room disappears after a while. You kinda compete for space by replying to chatrooms to bump them to the front of the list. There's this unfortunate side effect where the more drama a chat has the more likely it is to survive, but that's kind of the point.
