I have a dynamic IP, and there are a couple IPs that show up in the rotation every once in a while that have been banned for Child Pornography. Now obviously that ban wasn't intended for me, yet on those occasions I'm essentially being punished for someone else's crime.
Whenever I can I always appeal the bans explaining that the IPs are Dynamic before rerolling for another IP, but I've noticed that when those IPs pop up again, the mods have always denied the appeal.
I'm curious as to why this is. Do the mods not understand the difference between a static and dynamic IP?

Not true. Every appeal I've filed removed my ban, e.g. I made some ironic post on /lit/ in a /soc/-shit thread mocking its immaturity and stupidity but which prima facie looked like very simple and obvious underage bait and so was b&, and my appeal was something like 'it was just ebin shitposting my man' and lo it was removed.
