Since /a/ is so elitist when it comes to torrenting vs streaming. I started downloading some of my anime, but old shows barely have any seeders, if at all. How the hell am I supposed to download such series?

The only anime I have had trouble finding seeds for is a fucking /m/echa show called Gigantor that was made in 1963 that I've been stuck at ~80% for the past week. Everything else I've been able to find, I think the problem is with you friend.
Unless you're trying to watch obscure series you will have no problem finding seeds. You may not have much choice in terms of what release you get, but you'll be able to find at least one well-seeded torrent unless you're looking for a 30+ year old series that was originally subbed on VHS.
