Once again, /v/ mods and jannies are deleting video game threads. Dead or Alive threads have been getting deleted for no reason. Just now a thread was 404'd despite being video games, the board's topic, and about a trailer for an upcoming game in the series. A game that's coming out in about two weeks.
This isn't the first time this has happened, and anons have gone to feedback to report this person's abuse of the threads just because he doesn't like them. Dead or Alive threads are video games, and belong on /v/.

Ever thought that it might be because a good number of the posts qualify as either softcore porn or borderline roleplay and general comments about how hot people find a character and what they want to do to them? There's nothing technically wrong with the creation of them, it's how many of the users decide to use the thread. If I was a Janitor, I would be banned for going so in-depth about the rules and my interpretation of them. Now that I think of it, that's probably the main reason why I'll never be allowed to be one. I wouldn't delete the thread unless discussion was mostly off-topic, about softcore porn, or if the thread is dominated by posts like what hole people want it stick it in, or if the OP was breaking some rule. I'd stick to deleting (and requesting bans for) users in the thread. As I said, there's nothing wrong with making a thread when it isn't breaking any rules, but if the users dominate a thread with a huge load of rule breaking posts, then the thread should be deleted (and a few users possibly banned) so that they might make a new thread that's better for actual discussion of the games, and board and global rules. Deletions of threads about actual games should generally be uncommon.
