This is getting out of control. A thread about Game of Thrones was just deleted. It wasn't /got/ general. Just a thread discussing the upcoming season because it's coming in a month. The moderation on /tv/ is so bullshit. Pedo threads, waifu threads, /v/ shit and the like stay for hours, but we can't discuss the most popular show on the planet? What gives?

I don't understand why you would make a separate GoT thread when it could have been discussed in one of the many GoT generals. That's probably why it was deleted and frankly I don't blame the mods/janitors.

Funny enough, that was still fine. It's when the trifecta if autists started their war, taking over the general, that things went downhill. Combined with people confusing the report button with a downvote giving the mods a headache was what caused /got/ to be banned. We were told we could still have individual threads and /got/ back once the show was back, but time and again threads get deleted. With the show a month away this has to stop.

Believe it or not, but it's true. GoT threads have been deleted since the end of season 5. And you're not allowed to discuss the books on /lit/ either because the series is considered too pleb. Yet Lena Dunham's fat naked body has been on the front page of /tv/ for an hour now.

Just because you or I or someone else may personally dislike Camaros doesn't mean that discussion about them should be banned.
If a user(s) are breaking the rules within the thread, you ban those users - you don't delete the thread and ban it forever.

/tv/ is like the Wild West now, if you want your GoT threads you're gonna have to fight for them. If you weren't able to self-moderate them then that's your problem, those generals attracted cancerous posters so now mods have them under their radar.

Threads can, will and do INSTANTLY degrade into entry-level bait trolling. Which would be fine except that is the "board culture" so it spins out of control and spread out of threads/generals like the cancer everyone says comes from other sites. Baneposting is a fantastic example of shit gone out of control.
And Gamer Thrones has tits, serialized children, rape and incest as major plot points. Things /tv/ loves so much they make generals about waifus, and how they want to be their fathers AND rape them. And constantly post porn.

It's a rough business, and for every artisan meme you craft in your meme bakery, some cocksucker at 9gag has a picture of a duck or some shit that a million different Johnny No-Names will attach a milion different captions to.
