the short version of the story is that 3 or 4 people in a /qa/ thread convinced Hiro that words said in a TV interview (Former Reagan Speechwriter Peggy Noonan using the word 'cuck' on George Stephanopolous's news show) should be able to be spoken on 4chan. Also, he said the wordfilters were taking up too many system resources anyway and so he had been wanting to get rid of one.
