the site itself works fine but it's not archiving anything, it starts every few days and then stops again a few hours later.

You're not meant to use 4ch.be. Ever since the archive.moe disaster people have started multiple archives that are hidden away. 4ch.be archives things in it's own time, it's a backup for when the main archives fail.
