What went wrong?
>>
>>430490
Mods gave up
>>
>>430498
They didn't ban or limit racism and cuck memes.
>>
>>430490
redditors got welfare mod
>>
moot enabled memeshit
>>
>>430537
Shit that's what killed my board too.
>>
>>430587
The "meme" phenomenon kills any board along with generals.
>>
>>430628
that's weird, theres been memes since the site's inception yet the boards still stand. go the fuck back to red.dit you dumb fucking mong
>>
/tv/ is comical in how bad it's gotten
>>
/o/ here.

I don't understand /tv/. I rarely go there but I stopped in last night. There were plenty of cuck and blacked and /pol/ and other shitposting threads there. But I went into a thread about Jurassic World/Bryce Dallas Howard and people posted a few pics of her. Those pictures were all quickly deleted and the thread deleted shortly thereafter.

I must be missing something. On /o/, if you talk about say Ford or more specifically Mustangs people will post a lot of images of said cars in the thread and that's okay. But on /tv/ if you talk about a movie with an actor or just said actor and post pictures of them...that's not okay for some reason
>>
/tv/ is the only tolerable board left on 4chan
>>
>>430490
Bring back actress threads and will go back to Drive-era glory
>>
>>430490
The Mods will delete anything with a woman in OP doesn't matter the context or anything before pruning porn threads and memes.

I'm sure moot left instructions to keep /tv/ misrable.
>>
>>430490
/tv/ is funny as hell, but it has some problems. It's not as much that a single thing went wrong as it is an accumulation of things.

Honestly the single worst thing /tv/ kept dredging up was the nebulous reddit boogeyman, but ever since "reddit" topics have been moderated more heavily the quality's gone up significantly. I can handle the BLACKED and cuck memes because they're not as pervasive as "reddit" was.

The only thing that really sticks out to me as being "wrong" with /tv/ are the very dedicated small minority of pedos who still try to make topics but get banned near-instantly, a residual leftover from /tv/'s older era. /tv/ still hasn't recovered from the negative rep of that on the rest of the site though.

>/tv/ still hasn't recovered from the negative rep of that on the rest of the site though.
lel shut the fuck up
you're on a site with five+ boards for different fetishes
no one gives a shit about 3d lolis posted apart from feds and mods who get buttfucked by feds, crying muh legal fees muh aggravashuns
if anything, /tv/ suffered a loss of reputation when loliposting got shutdown, seen as just another milestone on the creeping road to normalization

you know the tendency of crossboarders to speak authoritatively about a board they front on another board?

yeah

Bryce Dallas Howard is a /tv/ meme. Threads about her are actually for /ss/ discussion because she looked like she wanted to fuck her nephew in Jurassic World. Let it keep going and it will just be full of "tfw you will never make cummies for mommy"
>>
actress threads were banned so /v/ could have their garbage eceleb shit

>muh /v/ boogeyman
RLMfags are to blame for /tv/ becoming the e-celeb board. Their constant friend simulator generals that the mods refused to crack down on made people think that shit was acceptable.
>>
>>430853
what is /ss/?

why the bias against mommyfucking and for BLACKED? what fetish calculus do you use to decide this shit?

Moot hated /tv/. HATED it.

The mods were given a narrow brief: No actress threads. That's it. Pretty much everything else was permitted.

Then BANE happened. There were days when the catalog was easily 90% Bane. One particular day a mod stickied a Bane thread and let it ride.

Soon after that, /tv/ became known as THE place to shitpost outside of /b/, and has been ever since.
>>
/tv/ is the way it is due to little to no moderation to stop the mass spreading of shitposting & memeposting.

Those two things are not just destroying /tv/, but the rest of the website due to no control.

You can't discuss anything without someone joining the thread and derailing it on purpose.

I know each board has their own culture but honestly it's some aspects of their culture that is destroying said boards.

If there were mods that could control the amount of meme/shit posting then quality of life would improve.

I understand memes are part of what 4chan truly is. I'm not saying to eliminate it entirely, just moderate it.

Why the fuck would either Eva girl be associated with American politics. Neither them are even remotely similar in ideology.

Whenever I hear the mods chuntering furiously away about how they should take more and more of our hard-earned waifus and more and more of our hard-won memes, I can't help but think that some people think it's a bit extreme of me to test the assumptions that underlie its rejoinders—a bit over the top, perhaps. Well, what I ought to remind such people is that the mods find reality too difficult to swallow. Or maybe it just gets lost between the anime and videogame pages. In either case, a colleague recently informed me that a bunch of cheeky gilly-gaupuses and others in the mods's amen corner are about to substitute “I-it” relationships for “I-thou” relationships. I have no reason to doubt that story because our path is set. By this, I mean that in order to act honorably, we must build a new understanding that can transport us to tomorrow. I consider that requirement a small price to pay because the mods's worthless claims are meticulously designed to keep the population unaware, uneducated, dumbed down, and focused on stupefying activities like video games. The intention is to prevent people from noticing that the mods has been shoving the nation towards racialism. For those of you who agree with what you've read in this post, we have a difficult but important task in front of us. We must defend waifus and film against the temptations of shitposting and mod oppression.
>>
>>430821
No, they don't allow waifu threads.

Stop thinking you're smarter than the average hotpocket eater.
>>
>>432529

>You can't discuss anything without someone joining the thread and derailing it on purpose.

Sadly this has become the norm with practically every topic on the site.

We need some really tough mods. We need to use the "head on a pike" shock and awe strategy.

Meme shit posters are ruining 4chan and making discussion impossible.

And don't tell me it was always like this, because it wasn't.
>>
it's gotten slightly better lately, don't know how long that will last.
>>
>>432877
I'll be the first to say that the public bans for calling things the "r" word kinda helped.
>>
Is anyone honestly surprised by what happened with /tv/?
Watching TV shows is literally the most normalfag hobby you can have, hordes of people from reddit and other boogeyman sites who don't know about 4chan culture flooding the board eventually was a predetermined fact.
>>
>>430490
In order:
/pedo/
BANE?
I think Star Wars brought a lot of faggots in too

/tv/ has been a festering board of shit since almost immediately after creation.
>>
Mods are supposed to ban reddit not become one.

It became a fast fast board thanks to star shit 7

Memes have to come organically.
Nowadays people want to mass produce memes to consume and dispose of in the same day.
>>
>>430490
Invisibro being given the reins in 2011 because he and moot both hated /tv/.

all downhill since then
>>
>>436461
Invisibro was moot's best friend in real life, so it would make sense moot gave him that position. However I'm starting to believe Invisibro was the one behind the Reddit bans as well. He's still a major problem with this site, and he should be fired
>>

hello r eddit
>>
Maybe stick to your own board and don't tell other how to use theirs
>>
just maybe
>>
probably not though

You can discuss the personal lives of "ecelebs" and even spam them everyday all day, but you can't do the same for an actual actress and even actors now
