Noticed it on my way to school. It was around 7:30, so it can't be the sun and no major fires have been reported. And there isn't a city in that direction. I could see the light with my bare eyes. It looked like it was illuminating the clouds. Any ideas?

It was the sodium vapor lamps from the parking lot of a large shopping center or car dealership on the outskirts of town reflecting off the low cloud deck.
