This. To have paid employees it'd have to make money. And to make 4chan profitable you'd basically have to change a lot of what makes it 4chan to get actual advertisers, and not what ever the hell we have now.. anime dildos or something.

Reddit mods aren't paid. They do it for free, just like the 4chan mods. Reddit admins are paid, because Reddit is an actual company and does a lot of deals with other companies for advertisements and profit. It's a marketing platform, believe it or not. Same with Twitter.

4chan is not a marketing platform. It's an open imageboard.

keep in mind the percentage of 4chan users that use adblock and the percentage that are likely to buy something they saw in an ad

there was a point where moot had over $20,000 in credit card debt just to keep the site running
