They're both about making stuff. The only reason to have a separate /cgl/ board is gives whores a place to talk about whore stuff. If they were both under a single crafts board, mods could shut down whore threads much easier.
/cgl/ is more similar to /fa/ than it is to /diy/ senpai.
Uhhh do you even go to /cgl/. It's dominated by lolita, which is not "making stuff." Then, there's the original reason /cgl/ was made - conventions - and that's not making stuff either.
