When I see someone asking if something is any good, I like to lie and tell them it is even if it's something I've never played/watched/read/etc. Sometimes I even go so far as to make things up. I just want people to try things for themselves and form their own opinions instead of dismissing something just because someone else says it's bad. So my win condition is simply to convince them to try it, whatever it is.

I only respond if I have any first hand knowledge on the subject and also believe something is good. I don't like to lie to people, but if I don't have anything nice to say I don't say anything at all.
