If we had good self-moderation we wouldn't flood the board with circlejerking Generals for example so no, nobody genuinely believes so.
We --had--. Ever since the fags that are the mods ruined it, we cannot self-moderate anymore. Now we got Naruto threads and people unironically discussing the plot of Dragonball.

Some of them seem to believe that an overactive janitor = self-moderation, although the fact that the moderation comes as a reactive measure entirely from staff should tip them off that there's no "self" about it.
