Serious question, why is Baneposting banned?
I know it got milked to death, but there's worse things that get posted on /tv/ every day, like the constant racist threads about Finn from Star Wars and "le Jew Jew Abrams xD" that get posted every fucking day, or the creepy paedo waifu threads.
It's just harmless fun. I don't see why people posting quotes from a movie gets instantly deleted when it seems like the mods turn a blind eye to pretty much everything else on there.

Since Baneposting resulted in deleted topics, /tv/ has been infested with neckbeards from /pol/ constantly posting "baaawwwwww there's a nigger in Star Wars why are you all such cucks abloobloobloo!"
At some point it totally wraps around and people like it just because it's familiar

Typically when it is used (now), it is used in genuine humor. Not to try and deliberately annoy people.
I get the feeling that there are so many intractable shitposters, that mods feel more in control by banning around the letter of the law, rather than targeting the most irritating shitposters (who obviously ban evade).
Banning autistic shitposters would definitely be unrewarding. Handing out bans to casual shitposters (Bane?) does work, but it's not really getting at the actual problems.
