How do you explain to a mod that a discussion thread is not a request thread?
Really tired of mods who can't tell the difference. You literally cannot start a discussion thread without getting warned or banned because a mod gets confused and thinks you are making a request, even when the thread explictly says it isn't a request thread.

Give us an example of a thread that was deleted or get out.
if you want a discussion thread, you, the op, have to actually discuss the topic in multiple posts. you can't just pose a question and expect other anons to answer while you sit back and do nothing. write out a bunch of sentences in your op and put some effort into it.
also, saying "this isn't a request thread" means it's a request thread and someone is going to report it. you may as well put a siren and flashing light on your thread if you're going to say that.
