That thread is host and creator to a pretty huge collection of manga, which is intrinsically /a/ territory. I think the thread would be better served on a language text board, though. m00t really had no justification to remove them in the first place: they are light on bandwidth and if traffic was an actual excuse, there are boards with threads still up from 2000 and fucking 13.
