Let's be realistic. All of the things wrong with /v/ are all symptoms of one central ailment, and that's too much traffic. Likewise its traffic is so high because of how popular videogames in general are now.
/vg/ has its own set of problems, primarily that having a board made entirely out of recurring threads leads those threads to get exhausted with discussion fatigue, the development of insular communities, and off topic personal blog circle jerks. But at least most of the time provided that the games themselves are active most discussion is on topic and sometimes even in depth.
Would higher image and bump limits, a larger amount of possible threads on the board, and longer post timers help the board?
Video games just attract the scumfucks of society. /v/ would terrible regardless of its size.

>hurr you can't fix it
This isn't the way to deal with your problems.

Please don't make one word posts offering absolutely no input only to reaffirm or praise another post like "this" or /thread. They're barely a step above likes or upvotes and do nothing for discussion.

So you wanna discuss in depth how fucking pathetic you are for playing video games as an adult?
>>397438
What do proper adults do?
