There are three boards outsiders come and roost: /b/, /v/ and /a/. /a/ has such high attach rates because for the past half dozen or so years poole has pandered to these cretins who came flooding into the site around 2007 because they had no idea about this place and sucked poole's dick every time he posted because he was "teh 4chan creator guy".
Spend a few days on /a/ lurking various threads. The hivemind actively attacks what was both fun and acceptable back in the day and promotes behaviour that stands antithetical to the entire point of an anonymous image board.
These are the newfags who aggressively turned 4chan legacy boards into content anorexic chatboard lobbies full of themed chatrooms. The sort of shit which would have seem funny in a fucked up way when we were shaping the site.
The people /a/ hates most are those who don't conform to the hivemind of the given pseudo and official generals. It is the easiest thing in the world to fit in because all you have to do is post the same shit everyone else is posting. There are generals which you can search through the archives, dump months worth of content into a text analysis tool and find almost no change in conversation over the period of time. If creativity and open discussion were oxygen, /a/ would an entirely anaerobic organism.
