About 90% of the "SAUCE" shit on /v/ is in response to cropped porn that usually can't be sourced directly. However, so many of the pictures are recycled or from well-recognized artists that I think some of it is just shitposting for the sake of shitposting.
/v/'s culture is just vastly different from /a/'s, and in some ways it really hurts the board.
You could try to change /v/'s culture, but it's not going to approach /a/'s without a team of mods to enforce the desires of the board.
There's also the timer on reporting posts now so attempts to educate people through bans or warnings is another thing that would be difficult to do.
