What's the biggest thing that happened on your home board this year? What's the biggest thing this year that happened to 4chan as a whole?
>/tv/
When baneposting broke reality
>/mu/
When Kendrick released new album
When Kid Cudi commited a career suicide
moot's retirement and Hiro.
Overall, this was a pretty boring 4chan year.

A supplement company ran an ad in London with an attractive woman and the slogan "are you beach body ready?" Feminists lost their shit about body-shaming and fat acceptance and misogyny. But Protein World didn't back down, instead they kept antagonizing the fat feminist crowd. The company ended up getting great publicity out of it and saw their sales skyrocket. Spawned some great memes like pic-related.
>4chan as a whole
Well Hiroshimoot getting hired was pretty big I guess. And the 4chan Oregon shooter. I think #ThinnerBeauty wins the "troll of the year" award. Feminists had a thing going where they photoshopped female video game characters to look fatter, so 4chan started photoshopping fat women to look thin. It got a bit of media coverage even.
>>395126
didn't somebody get a fake quote into a news article? I remember seeing a cap of an article quoting one of the guy's "friends" as saying something like "he had a lot of loyalty for a hired guy" or something.
>>395122
Fate / stay night: Unlimited Blade Works season 2 aired.
>>395122
My homeboard uses to be /asp/
Nuff said
>>395211
Also the way /r9k/ tried to frame Eggman for that (it's always fun to read descriptions of 4chan in the media).

>homeboard
/vp/
Well Pokemon Sage went offboard and moderation gave up on the board itself. So now it's being overrun by trolls, porndumpers, furries, and underage faggots like Brett/buttscab.
As someone who has been with /vp/ since it was /tr/, I'd pay someone to actively and attentively moderate /vp/. I would fucking pay some neckbeards salary to moderate that board it is that bad.
Or nuke /vp/. It's such a haven for bullshit now that it's been lost to the /v/-/s4s/-/r9k/ group that it'll only get worse the longer mods ignore their duty. And then it will spread to other boards and 4chan will decline in quality even further.

And here I thought Uniuted Kaliphate was full of spineless cucks, well done, john bull, well done
>>395227

I've no idea who eggman was, so my chuckle potential was limitied, but still a fun happening
>>395211
I can't believe Anthony actually did it. The absolute madman.
>>395211
Also, the myriad of copycat threats that followed.
this abomination came out of a bomb threat at otago university: http://www.3news.co.nz/tvshows/story/4chan-the-web-you-cant-get-caught-in-2015100716
>>395213
The teenposting was out of control. Much worse than the current OPM flood.
When lack of moderation allowed a single poster to push half of /o/ into the archive.
/pol/ has had the best year of habbenings since 2014.
>>395857
god /o/ is so shit when from all the anime posters
>>395863
Poster. This was likely one turbo autist.
>>395864
>one turbo autist
It was. That actually took a couple hours because they were also shitposting in other threads while successfully derailing what is typically a pretty slow board.
Bump because of interest
>>395122
Fa/tg/uy here. I think it was this year that an awful namefag, going by, 'virtualoptim', that's been plaguing the board for a while fucked of.
So that was nice.
>>396239
He even got banned for a F.A.T.A.L. memepost. It was a good day.
Oh, and he left us a nice long manifesto on his tumblr blog about how he "totally wasn't butthurt, no siree."
>/a/
moot leaving and endless nipple threads with hiro
Literally nothing.
On /mu/ we consider pretty small things as epic.
/mu/ can ot be saved.
>>396285
You keep letting in these underage faggots in and you didn't fight back
>>396289
How do you fight back on a blue board?
>>396293
Like /a/.
Unfortunately that wouldn't work on /mu/, as its premise is too normalfag per definition.
>>396293
You self moderate? Call them out? Embarrass them for their shit taste in music?
>>396298
Everyone will cry and "MUSIC IS SUBJECTIVE XDDD"
Which is true.
Making fun of someones taste on /mu/ is frowned apon.
>>396299
Yeah but not if they're shitposting to death
>>396299
>Making fun of someones taste on /mu/ is frowned apon.
This is fucking news to me. I thought /mu/ was another heavily biased media board.
>>396308
While they won't shit on you, there is a very select few topics that are actually discussed. Anything else gets ignored.
>/g/
Did anything even happen? Maybe the 970 and the Pencil Dick, but nothing particularly felt significant.
>>395122
I`m from /pol/. This year not much shit happened to us but last year was /pol/harbor and we overthrew /b/ as the face of 4chan
>>395122
/mlp/
We won a virtual soccer tournament
Hacked a billboard to post pony memes
Tried to make artificial mare cum
Fucked Plastic Electronic horse toys
Tried to score with some lesbian cosplayers
Had a greentext story last 6 months
Took pictures of a cast member peeing in a urinal
Then /mlp/ turned real
and much more.
Also giddy up for winter

>>396991
I couldn't find the screengrab on my computer, so I googled it.
I forgot to change the filename so that faggots like you wouldn't conmplain about le reddit boogeyman, fucking sue me.
>>395122
>What's the biggest thing this year that happened to 4chan as a whole?
Gee I fucking wonder
maybe the outage today? The new home page?
>>396473
kek
keep dreaming /pol/tard
>>397002
Yeah, right. How many upvotes did you get with that pic, fellow redditor?
>>397002
Do you even know what 'boogeyman' means? Or do you use it just to damage control?
>>397032
Or you could post the archived thread instead of posting a cancerous /r/4chan-tier picture? That's the purpose of archives.

Source?
moot and swaglord brought a bunch of shitposters to /o/
>>397015
/pol/ and the fappening are the main reasons why moot left.
