>over 80 Star Wars threads on /tv/
Look at it like this - mods could easily ask people to condense their SW threads instead of make the same ones over and over, and delete superfluous ones to enforce it. On the other hand, while this would clear out much of the board, it would be at high (near-100%) risk of spawning at least one cancerous general thread which would then stick around much longer than necessary.
In other words bear with it since it'll only be like this for a few weeks max. It's fucking Star Wars. Did you not think this would happen?

Serves you right, dumb frogposter.

Star Wars garbage is here to stay, and Disney has plans to milk this forever.
A cancerous general isn't a big deal, we already have /who/. Just hide it and it's done. Here, that's more than 80 SW threads to hide, new shit coming up every minute that I have to hide again, and it slows down the good threads since they don't get any attention, the first pages of /tv/ being Star Wars only.

It's literally only going to last a few weeks at best. Anything after that is epic trolls baiting you guys, because you are upset. This has always been how the site ran and anything with actual high hype and popularity levels has always consumed their respective board. There is nothing wrong with this and only newfags fucking complain. Fighting against something so incredibly naturally will only make everything 10x worse and generals are cancer as hell and should not be encouraged

Star Wars is literally Reddit: The Movie
