There is not a single troll-free political discussion board anywhere on the internet.
It's impossible to have a political discussion forum without strict vetting and aggressive moderation. Politics is a subject that is especially prone to bikeshedding because it's used as a building block for personal identity in most democratic societies.
Even "intellectual" communities have the same problem:
