The furry fad isn't as strong as it used to be.
That being said, I doubt it would have ever destroyed 4chan. But they are an obnoxious bunch, and there's no reason to give them a platform on 4chan since they have countless others elsewhere.
I mean, does it even classify as an interest? It isn't derived from any medium or thing, it's just a festering blob of faggots who create antromorphic characters for themselves and draw them, over and over and over. A board with no basis becomes real cancerous and inbred real fast. At least the horsefuckers on /mlp/ discuss a show, even though I think that's too narrow to warrant a seperate board.
