Anime is an important part on 4chan's history. But that doesn't mean it should get a free shitposting pass on all boards. /a/ gets a free pass too often, and that isn't rightly fair.
Because /a/ makes the best banners, this was very clear during that site-wide contest we had some years ago. Everyone else just slapped some half-assed shit together in paint and posted in a thread while /a/ had a separate contest for themselves to nominate the most worthy

Look, I'm not saying my style of moderation is the "right" way, or even ideal. But if I ran 4chan, I would ban all anime outside of /a/ and /jp/ and all frogposts outside of /r9k/.
