I have no idea. I mean, if someone writes "GO GERMANY" it seems pretty obvious where that poster is from. No flag should be needed.

It's still someone who obviously is of german descent.
What is the point of the flags on /sp/?
I honestly don't get it, can someone explain?

As someone who probably spends about ~70% of the time on /pol/ and /int/ and who loves having their flag shown on those boards
Please no
My flag is not relevant to video games or television and it would just spread /int/ memes to other boards where they're not needed
Flags derail discussion, but on top of that if you're a somewhat uncommon flag It's pretty much like being a tripfag, everyone knows what you're posting in a thread and you'll get
RARE

Dumb frogposter
>Redditfags will NEVER EVER get flags removed
I hear that Reddit doesn't have flags, how about you all vamoose?
Flags add banter and fun, but you eventually get flag memes which are always awful. No Argentinians can say anything on /sp/ without getting >muh Falklands every time. Americans who like football get >that flag >this topic if they ever say something contentious, and picking on people for being contentious strikes me as the very opposite of 4chan's philosophy.
I still support flags because /sp/ is dead now and we need everything we can get to help make more posts, but I can fully understand the fury of some posters. They don't all have a based UK flag like I do.
