I like the cup but allowing cup threads sometimes has opened up the backdoor for a lot more annoying twitch advertisers so it's probably time to just make it all illegal
having a general in the /vg/ board is fine and fair, any more than that is unneeded
The simplest solution is for mods to just allow cup threads on all boards only when they're playing so that we stop needing to have this bullshit about the cup being allowed on all boards. They can be deleted afterwards as has been the case on several boards I know have had cup threads, like /tv/ and /vp/ and /int/.
It is literally off-topic bullshit, but in a way it is related to the board (board culture, I guess, unless a filthy merc made the roster which is not all that likely these days) and will cause the least drama if it is allowed in the least intrusive form. The cup definitely has fans and this is a good enough compromise given that as long as the threads disappear, the people who don't like them can simply ignore them because they won't be there for long.
Also, is this fan club shit just a meme or an actual group of autists? Either way, fuck you for making these threads and stop shilling.
