While reading the rules (yes, I actually read them), I noticed a few things that I wanted to ask about:
>Why is /news/ in the 'image board' section when it isn't one?
>Why are no rules listed for /qa/? I would assume that global rules would then be applied, however, as global rule 9 obviously isn't I feel this should be clarified
>Why does global rule 15 say that pony flashes and avatars belong on /mlp/ when flashes can't be posted there and avatars are against the board's rules (global rule 13)
>Why does global rule 3 specify that the things listed may not be posted outside of /b/, when there are other boards where those things are allowed (eg. [s4s])? Wouldn't it make more sense just to say those things aren't allowed on 4chan in general and then clarify in the /b/ rules that global rule 3 isn't enforced?
>Is loli/shota pornography allowed on [s4s] as global rule 3 (what forbids it) is not enforced on this board? I'm asking because people on here always say /b/ is the only place loli can be posted but this seems to contradict this. Note: I know loli porn dumps would be banned as per [s4s] rule 3.
>Why is global rule 6 enforced on [s4s] when it really doesn't apply?
>Is impersonating moot bannable through global rule 12 given that he is no longer an admin?
>Why does global rule 9 state that ban evasion will lead to a permaban when according to the bans list, people only get 30 days for it?
>Do the constant kik/snapchat threads posted on /b/ violate global rule 4?
>Why do the rules for /h/ state that shota belongs on its own board when it no longer has one?
>Why are the buyfag threads in /a/ when the rules for /jp/ specifically state it is for figures?
>Why does rule 1 of /sp/ state 'all sports are welcome' when /asp/ exists? Can alternative sports (with the exception of wrestling, as per the /sp/ sticky) be posted on either?
>Why does 4chan still spell lolicon as lolikon (eg. in /trash/ rules), when this is completely outdated?
Could someone please clarify?

nobody cares about rules. that includes mods

I care

Use his trip faggot and give it a whirl
>>
>>371532
I tried but it just says 'upload failed' and doesn't let you post with it. I meant using a tripcode and name very similar but not identical to his

Rule 6 is enforced on [s4s] mate. It is nice board.

Has anyone EVER actually got a warning/ban for it though?

I'll answer some of these:
1
You can still post images on /news/ and it's the only 'text' board that isn't defunct , I don't know why you even care about this.
2
It seems that some global rules don't apply here like GR9 and GR15 but other global rules still apply and I think the reason why it isn't featured in rules section is because it is some kind of a meta board.
3
This one I can easily answer: The board functions just like other boards and because of this flashes can not be uploaded but if you post pony flashes on /f/ no one would care (even the mods) , this has been going on for years.
Avatarfagging and rule playing is not permitted on /mlp/ and people actually don't do that , the common misconception is that some people think posting any images of ponies and still posting text with it must be avatarfagging which isn't true.
4
Because in reality many of the boards on 4chan are just /b/ with different themes , you can call someone a 'nigger faggot kike' on /mlp/ and get away with it because the board has been more or less another variation of /b/.

Others: loli/shota porn is only allowed on /b/.
[s4s] is the mods hangout place.
Impersonating someone is not that easy only an Aussie on /int/ managed to pull that off.
30 days is the first level of permaban punishment , the reason for this is because there are lots of IPs that need to be collected as data , if the ban was a year long it would cause technical difficulties I think.
Raid threads on /b/ always existed more or less only 2 things might really get you b& : CP and violation of Global Rule 2.
>Why do the rules for /h/ state that shota belongs on its own board when it no longer has one?
What is /b/?
>Why does rule 1 of /sp/ state 'all sports are ....
It means all sports that are not already allowed on /asp/.
>Why does 4chan still spell lolicon as lolikon...
Because of muh culture , one of my friends IRL always corrects me when I say lolicon , he says Rorikon.
>>

Thanks for helping, this clarifies a lot
>>
Yeah, the rules really could use a thorough going through and updating. People would cry about 'muh tradition' though.

>Why does global rule 9 state that ban evasion will lead to a permaban when according to the bans list, people only get 30 days for it?

It used to result in a permaban, but with the rise of mobile too many innocent posters were getting stuck with banned IPs. Ban evaders are just gonna evade the ban anyway, permanent or otherwise.

It's justified given the new admin.

The mods/admins are always slow to update shit because they don't care. And the users don't care. There's so many unofficial rules like the Commander Keen rule for /tg/ at this point for each board that the rules page is really only there as a guideline, not something strictly enforced unless a mod has a bug up his ass that day or you post illegal stuff.

That's not to say you should go around shitposting like a complete moron, and if you post with any amount of common sense and lurk a bit you'll be fine and see what is/isn't allowed.

But, yeah, mods you need to get your shit together. Update your shit and start adding trial boards back to the board list like they always were, including the front page, not just adding them on /frames.
