Why am I getting these show up instead of real ads (and not just occasionally, but everytime on every board)?
Is 4chan completely out of advertising?
I also noticed that there was a new /trash/ one so I guess Hiro knows these are showing up?

They are used when a board has no current advertiser.

Because you are blind or really jus go to the lowest of the low like /pol/ and /r9k/. /g/ and /jp/ get individual board banner ads all the time for example.
Reminds me that I should order a happy bag this year from jlist, not sure what tier though.

No, I mean on those boards too. The only place with working ads for me is the homepage
>>365902
because no one is that stupid to actually advertise on 4chan

Just look at the swedish site Flashback Forum (perhaps more controversial than 4chan). Plenty of advertisers, and brings in a profit for the owner. 4chan could bring in even more.
Hiro should actively seek out new advertisers.

Moot tried for years, this website has a well-deserved toxic reputation no reasonable company would want to associate with, especially now that 4chan users shot some BLM protesters.
Speaking of ads, I now get redirected when I try to go to 4chan.org on mobile (but can go to specific boards without issue), someone tell that half-skinned monkey owner to cut it out.
>not using adblock
>>366105
Why would you use adblock here? The ads are unobtrusive and viewing them helps support the site.

>not buying adds to shispost for you

This one is /vp/
I haven't gotten them to show up either, even after disabling my adblocker.
>>366111
Just unblock 4chan.org in adblock so the ads still load, but hide the element that actually shows the ad
boards.4chan.org##body > .center, #delform > .center, #content > .center

He obviously didn't try hard enough.
Online casinos, sex shops, legal drug shops, bitcoin-related stuff, training supplies... There are so many online companies that would be willing to advertise here. If Flashback forum can make a profit from ads, then so can 4chan.
>>366141
hahahaa
>furry sites have more advertising than 4chan
Moot was a fucking entitled babby who only wanted big advertisers I bet.
>>366275
I think he didn't want scams and evil shit. So drug places and pornographers were ruled out. I'm fine with that; the site kept running anyway. How big is J-List? I doubt it's huge.
>>366281
As long as they're vetted they should be fine. Shit like Bad Dragon or casinos or something would be fine
>>366281
If moot thought pornography was immoral we wouldn't have dozens of porn boards lel
>>366220
Probably because moot had enough dignity to not try and get people who have a high chance of virus shit to advertise here
So how long would my $20 last on a board like /g/?
Just as an update, the real ads (J-list and Moetube) are back for me now so I suppose it is fixed
>>366318
>virus shit
That doesn't happen if the ads are published through the 4chan ad-engine (Flashback forum uses a similar system)

Found the newfig

Calm down.
