Is the inline extension totally broken for anyone else? I cant
Images are sometimes not shown due to bandwidth/network limitations. Refreshing the page usually helps.

Is the inline extension totally broken for anyone else?

I cant hide threads, auto update, use quick reply, etc.

Works for me on ff dev edition with several tinfoil addons enabled.
>>
>>365823
I'm having problems with the Thread Watcher updating (it doesn't).
>>
>>365823
Auto-updating has been fucked for me for a couple days now, it just says Connection Failed about 20 seconds after a page loads, even though I've fucking seen the auto-update work within those 20 seconds. I thought it was just 4chan X shitting the bed, but the native extension doesn't work either.

Thank fuck it's not just me. I've been having this problem for weeks.

I've tried everything here, but the thread updater a ton of other stuff is just shitting the bed.

For me, it doesn't matter if I'm using 4chanX or the in-line, threads don't update. It doesn't matter if it's on Firefox or Chrome, or if I disable my add-ons, delete my cookies, clear my cache. Nothing helps, I just get a "connection error".

I get the exact same thing too where it'll update for a few seconds after a refresh, or, even weirder, sometimes a random post will slip through and update, but overall I have to refresh every page now.

I'm scratching my head here.

Also, just to point out, my internet is fine otherwise. Sometimes I'll get "connection failed" if my internet craps out, but it's smooth sailing with everything other than the thread updater.
>>
Shot in the dark, but what OS are you guys using?
>>
>>369778
I'm on 8.1 right now.
>>
>>365823
Everything works fine here.
With and without additional extensions such as 4chanX
>>
>>370472
I think most users aren't having a problem, but it's not a single isolated case. Something is causing a hiccup.
>>
>>370198
Well I'm not, and it seems to be working fine, so that might say something.

>using desuwa's bargain-bin 4chan X
To what end?
>>
>>371449
It's actually broken in 4chanX, too.
>>
>>371503
Oh.
Werks on my machine.
>>
>>371542
That's what's bugging me. I know it's not everyone, but it's not just me. I mean I didn't even make this thread, so other people are definitely having problems.

Can you load
http://a.4cdn.org/qa/thread/365823.json
?
>>
>>371549
Have you tried manually updating? 4chan X changed hands awhile ago and requires an entire new client download. Be sure to back up your settings so you can import them.

If all else fails, just roll Appchan X which is 4chan X but weebified and more friendly at changing the HTML layout.
>>
>>371665
See the thing is, it's both 4chan and the inline, and it seems to persist between browsers. Firefox and Chrome are both giving me grief.

>Only a seemingly random subset of the users get connection errors
I wonder who could be behind this.

Does everyone having problems live in the same area?
>>
>>371680
Well I'm on the west coast in America, if that helps.
>>
>>371680
Didn't even think of that.
>>
So is there anything to be done at this point, or is it just a waiting game? Cause I've been having this problem for more than a week.
>>
Okay, bit of an update, things seem to be working okay in Chrome for me, but Firefox is still shot.

Progress I guess, but I still have no clue how to narrow down the problem or what's even causing it. I just turned on Chrome at random to check the site, and it just seemed to want to work again.

1. Are you using HTTP or HTTPS version of the website?
2. Can your browser load all of these pages? (they are used when refreshing the thread and updating page number in statistics, it may show long strings of code or prompt to download, which means they are working correctly)

Son of a fucking bitch, that's it.

When I google the site or any specific board, it takes me to an http version, but when I specifically input https it's all fixed.

Man I feel like a retard.
