Should /vp/ be deleted? Theres not enough traffic on this board to keep it alive and lets face it - its almost another /s4s/ at this point. We could have /pkmng/ generals on /vg/ and threads on upcoming games on /v/. That way there would be less shitposts and more actual discussion.

And I voted yes. Simply because /vp/ and /mlp/ are the only boards with such a singular focus as their topic. So, if there is such a huge demand for the boards, just bring them back in a way that allows for a little diverse discussion as opposed to something so singular. When a topic for a board is so narrowly focused it can only lead to massive amounts of shitposting and stagnation.

4chan does still have some measure of unity. Just look at the shitflinging over Reddit. People are still hostile to outsiders, even if it's fucking dumb shit like website wars. There's just been a lot of changes lately. moot left, after the ID change moot made awhile back to be a mod, a lot of the more senior moderators left, plus4chan's admin left, not long before this the 4-ch admin squeeks left too.
So, a lot of imageboards/textboards have hit that time period (it's been 12 years for 4chan) where a lot of older users and admins have moved on and passed on the mantle. But there's still a few veterans and people who were once newfags moving on up into being the oldfags. It's just that on 4chan we keep growing and it causes more turbulence than elsewhere. But in the end it'll be fine. I've been around since 06 and this site has survived much worse shit than this. Just give things time to die down and the new order time to establish itself.
