Enough with the new boards already. At this rate you're going to dilute the community to the point where all but the fastest-moving boards are barren. There's already a chan out there for people who want eight zillion boards for every tiny niche interest, topic, and fetish. We don't need to emulate them and we don't need to emulate Reddit.
Seriously what's the point of /trash/? We already had three no-topic, rules-free NSFW boards; why did we need a fourth? Why do western and eastern cartoon porn need separate boards? Especially when everyone hates the new split. Who the hell even asked for /news/?
Unless there's either a really, really pressing need for a containment board, or a huge, huge, HUGE demand for a particular interest board, don't add anymore. If anything you should be deleting boards that no longer serve the purpose they once did, such as /mlp/ and /vp/.

/trash/ is the only board i'm in disagreement with so far, just because it is pretty much a 2nd /b/. why not just move all the offtopic threads to /b/ instead of creating a second board (where people can create new threads on top of the moved threads)
