Can we please have a board made for high school and college students?

/b/ is mostly porn, /soc/ is mostly camwhores, and /r9k/ is mostly woe is me crap.

/school/ would be a place for students to discuss education related stuff, school life, and to get tutoring from another 4channers.

What do you think?

Obviously it will still be for students 18 and older.

Nah.

Tutoring idea is shit but a general school board would be cool, I highly doubt it will be a thing at any point in the future though.
>>
No. I know a lot of people here are already under 18, we don't need to give them their own little space so even more can come in.

/sci/, /his/, and other boards already provide that

>school life

Social topic, belongs in /soc/, /b/, or /r9k/

Why don't you eat a dick instead, OP?

Let me kick you some knowledge, brother.

There are over 100+ words registered in the English language. There are roughly 6500 languages in the entire world. Last but not least, there are over 1000 different web extension available for use (with new ones being developed as we speak!).

What the fuck does any of this mean? Well, if you add the 100 words, 6500 languages those words could be in, and the over 1000 extensions they could be registered in, you get a low basic estimate of 7600+ websites that could have, have been, or will be registered in any given day (this, of course, not counting grouping words, adding letters, newly developed extensions, and words that could not be translated properly from one language to the next.)

The point I'm trying to make is that the internet is huge. I mean it's REALLY fucking huge. A vast space where you can travel from site to site, state to state, country to country, continent to continent, all with the blink of a fucking eye!

td;lr: stop trying to make 4chan a one-stop shop for all your bullshit, and go use the rest of the fucking internet your paying for.

"It's a magical internet, anon, ol' buddy...
...Let's go exploring!"

This... wouldn't go well. Like even on /sci/ that's not really acceptable. And we really don't need anymore underaged b&

If hiro want 4chan to be a place of higher quality discussion content he should increase the age to 21. Most wouldnt disagree because that would effectively decimate 40% of the total population ;^)
>>
moot did this one time as a joke. The entire board was in comic sans font, fuck me if I can find screenshots of it though. 4chan is an 18+ site and calling a board "school" would be way too easy to draw in literal K-12 kids.

A college/university board would be more feasible, but would also be pushing it in terms of validating its own existence. I mean, what the fuck do strangers from different schools even discuss? The entire thing would just be shitposting about rankings/schools, people trying to hook up, and people asking for help cheating on shit. People asking/exploring options for schools could well likely be highschoolers again.

Since there would be pretty much no bright sides to such a place, really any kind of school board would be a bad idea.

/r9k/ is still that board, despite what you said.

/adv/ is for the stuff /r9k/ can't do.
>>
Don't call it /school/. Call it /uni/ - University & College
>>
/acad/ - Academics
