Of all the potential new vidya boards discussed, this has to be the most unneeded.
/agdg/ threads have been on /v/ for a while now in forms like "What games are you working on, anon?" just fine, and doing better than on /vg/.
There are several indie games that /v/ still likes, it's only a few in particular that get shitposted to death.
The only reasons I can see for making /vi/ if if Hiro wanted a board to discuss Minecraft and the like without shitposts for autism adbux or he wanted more game content creation like some of the other boards.

Six topics on /v/ right now that would clearly be on /vi/. Combine that with all the generals on /vg/ that could easily work into /vi/, such as /agdg/, hentai games general, and the doujin game general, as well as the undertale general, that is often ignored. Also would get rid of that awful Katawa Shoujo general that ruins /vg/.
