>moving Teaching Feeling threads to /trash/

What are the hotpocket fags trying to say with this? At first, they allowed it and the threads hit bump limit with no problem, then they just started straight up deleting it probably because of an anon who kept mentioning he adopted 2 kids because of the game and derailed the threads as a result

It's not because it's a VN because I saw a couple of threads about VNs there go under their radar.
>>
>>>/v/316670326

Here's another thread about a VN going on just fine.

Just why are Teaching Feeling threads being trashed/deleted?
>>
>>345233
The mods are deleting whatever they don't like man, you gotta get used to it. It's never gonna change.
>>
mods don't like loli

be sure to report the thread in /trash/ as well since loli and shota content is not permitted there :^)

Man, it feels weird seeing a thread like that up on /v/. You could transport that to /a/ and no one would bat an eye. Probably.
Just an interesting observation.

It doesn't matter if its loli or not since the op picture doesn't even show any nudity, in fact is more safe then what most loli stuff get posted on /v/. There is only 1 poster in the threads that posts her naked and the mods should just do their job and delete the post instead of moving it to /trash/

REMINDER: it's just one mod who's targeting the threads. No need to go /vg/ just because of this faggot in particular. If they keep getting deleted again then just keep remaking them until he goes afk.

>mod gets their ass kicked
>Hiro has to put up a goddamn sticky saying people are allowed to discuss anime on /a/

So are we going through the same fucking process where we have to get into a ridiculous fight for about a week just to discuss a videogame on the videogame board?
>>
>>345345
Sounds like it.

How did /a/ got Hiro's attention about that though? His twitter or some random threads on /qa/?
>>
>>345359

A combination of what you said, creating a giant shitfest (just constantly reposting threads), reporting the moderator, and some other stuff.

Keks were had.
>>
>>345378

You know, forgive me for my ignorance, but I never understood this stuff. Short of disruptive things like spamming or posting "illegal" content, why even disturb people if they're keeping their posting to a single thread (that is both relevant to the topic and on the generally proper board)? It wasn't like the supposedly offensive VD images were being posted everywhere; they were in fact being kept to a single VD thread for the purpose of discussing the anime.

It's kind of like how the moderation on /v/ is horribly inconsistent with some games. For example, Black Lilith games like Taimanin Asagi occasionally get threads on /v/, and sometimes they get outright deleted, and other times they get to 500 posts without any sort of off-topic nonsense. The most common reason for banning TA discussions (from what I've seen) is that it contains porn or it "isn't a game", yet /vg/ has a hentai game general up 24/7 that has both porn and the supposed "isn't a game" content.
>>
Fuck the mods.
>>
>>345385
cause what's acceptable /a/ board culture is not always within the written rules for the board and the site, some mods don't know and/or care and probably will refuse to accept it without a rule change. This time it was for /a/'s benefit, hiro only stepped in and clarified for everyone present what has always been understood between the lines.
>>
>>345242
Why is this ok but not Teaching Feeling which is a much better VN?

>>

>>
>>345537
I'll be honest I didn't really notice. Also the mods have to understand it's a really popular game. It sold over 50K copies in less than a month for a reason.
>>
>>345544
Threads were being remade every two minutes with just a pic and the OP stating *pat* *pat* *pat*

These aren't threads made to discuss the game
>>
>>345546
Sounds like it was just a shitposter who wanted to get those threads deleted by spamming them. Or an actual autist.

LOL. /v/ mods are a fucking joke.
>>
>>345385
/v/'s mods are just utterly incompetent at best; I've seen dozens of threads over this past week hit 300-500 posts before getting deleted, whether they even deserved it or not. If a thread should be getting deleted in the first place it should never take that long to happen.
>>
>>345549

>>
Not going to make another thread about this and shit up the board, but a Higurashi thread just got deleted, which was on topic, up for hours and was sitting on page 2. Not only was it deleted, but multiple offtopic and meta threads are still up. I'd love to see Visual Novels being allowed on /v/ to be placed into the rules so there is none of this bullshit grey zone going on, do it Hiro.

Also, spamming 100 *pat**pat**pat* threads isn't helping this game stay on /v/.
>>
What the actual fuck is with /v/'s moderators? Even having /pol/'s mods come over and clean house on occasion with public bannings would be better than right now.

Did moot's mod-reshuffling fuck over the board that badly?
>>

and yet there's constant loli threads on /v/ with shit like Disgaea and Senran Kagura
>>
>>345281

>>
You guys are always fucking autists and beat things to death. You can't just have sporadic threads discussing the VN you have to make it into a general where you discuss "feels". It's not even translated yet and you've already gone full autism.
The rules state VNs belong on /vg/ for western or translated and /jp/ for untranslated so I don't see why you're so butthurt. Go to /vg/ and jerk each other off there and post your screencaps of "feelsy" posts and stop shitting up /v/.
>>
>>345372
How do you report mods? I've been having a lot of trouble recently, I think it's related to the new hires or something.

>>
>>345581
Neither do mine, you little bitch. I've gotten banned on /a/ and had my posts deleted for posting work-safe pictures in relevant threads recently.
>>
>>345576
>he rules state VNs belong on /vg/ for western or translated and /jp/ for untranslated so I don't see why you're so butthurt.

That rule hasn't been seriously enforced for a long ass time. It wasn't until this one faggot mod started getting triggered by this one VN in specific that they tried to use this lame excuse to cover their tracks.
>>
>>345576
>You can't just have sporadic threads discussing the VN

Again:

>1 million Fallout 4 threads
>1 million MGS threads
>1 million Undertale threads
>1 million DoA threads
>1 million Senran Kagura threads
>1 million CoD threads
>1 million Halo threads

It's not an excuse, especially when the game has just come out
>>
>>345588
Finish the sentence autismo.
>>
>>345585
>The rules state VNs belong on /vg/ for western or translated

So they're video games then? So non general threads about VNs belong on /v/? Translation also shouldn't factor into it either.

>That rule hasn't been seriously enforced for a long ass time.

Don't forget a Mod went on record saying VNs are games, just to clear this debate up.
>>
>>345591
They're only getting made like they are because they keep being deleted,
>>
>>345588
A mod also told me that when I complained about 20 MGS threads on the first page...
But apparently if it's a game the mods don't like they'll delete it.
>>
>>345592
>/jp/ - This is the appropriate board for the discussion of Japanese visual novels, and light novels without an animated adaptation. Western visual novels should be posted to /vg/, and translated visual novels are fine on either board.
It's not ambiguous.
>>
>>345599
Mods also said "Visual Novels are games" which is even less ambiguous, sperg-boy.
>>
>>345569
>Did moot's mod-reshuffling fuck over the board that badly?
It's the same thing as /a/ but in a less public format. moot left and Hiroshima can barely figure things out with his poor grasp of English so the mods are power tripping in the meantime.
>>
>>345599
Where does it says that VNs are banned on /v/? Why do you ignore all of the threads about VNs on /v/ which never got deleted until this bullshit started to happen?
>>
>>345609
There's a thread about the Umaru VN on /v/ with over a 100 posts. Other VNs like Danganronpa have constant threads with no issue.
>>
>>345613
>Other VNs like Danganronpa have constant threads with no issue.
This is a good point. What's the criteria? That it's on a console? Retarded as that is, that still certainly gives plenty of room for hundreds of VNs. Oh, but they have to be translated? Okay, let's go with the Muv-Luv threads then, since that's confirmed to be coming to consoles in the west as well.
If Danganronpa is okay, then so is Muv-Luv.
>>
>>345619
Also, the Umaru game isn't in english at all. The game isn't even out yet. Shouldn't it belong on /jp/ according to the schizo mod?
>>
>>345619
Why would consoles VNs be allowed but not PC VNs?
>>
>>345624
Ask the mod. I certainly don't have an answer to that logic.

I bet they're going to start banning all VNs now because of this. The logic just doesn't adds up. This is ridiculous. Teaching Feeling threads were deleted because the mod was offended by the content in the game or something, not because it's a VN. And now he's trying to use that "rule" against them as a scapegoat for his actions.

But whatever, best thing we can do for now is message Hiro about this on 4chan's twitter and hope he notices this thread: https://twitter.com/4chan

/v/, where else?
>>345737
They learned that they can get away with this shit as long as it's NOT on /a/.

Some anons in the earlier threads were talking about them working on translating it. Depending on when/if that comes to fruition or there's an official translation, that'd be a good time to get this matter settled unless it takes forever.

Why don't you read the rules before posting, then whining when mods do their job, then ban evade to keep posting the deleted thread.

>>346217
Tough shit. Rules are rules.

>>346222
No, since that rule simply existed to bifurcate /jp/ and KS.
>>
>>346266
Stop sucking hotpocket dick and think for a moment: this "rule" was never seriously enforced. Plus, there's nothing that states VNs are banned on /v/. I see Danganronpa threads there all the time and Life is Strange is pretty much a "Western VN" as well. Teaching Feeling was banned because some mod was offended by the content in it. There's no other answer.

Also, is this thread on autosage? I'm gonna make another one if that's the case.
>>
>>346281
>This "rule" was never seriously enforced
Which was a problem, because it was a rule. Now it's being enforced, and that's the proper course of action. /v/ is a shithole and needs firm moderation.

>There's nothing that states VNs are banned on /v/
Basic logic. VNs go to /jp/, western made to /vg/. Deduction wise there's no other category to really contend with. When you also consider VNs aren't games due to the complete lack of gameplay, they logically wouldn't fall even tertiary wise under /v/.

I'm not a mod, but keep going on with that big bad boogy man out to get you shtick.

Again, just because rules were broken before doesn't make them suitable now. Plenty of porn and other rule breaking shit has hit autosage post counts before. Doesn't mean it didn't break the rules.

Rules are rules, deal with it. I'm looking forward to future /v/ where shitposting, porn, VNs, and whyfoo shit is wiped clean.
