Oh, I agree, I love Undertale. It just seems like /utg/ is sort of a mixed bag. Undertale threads on /v/ are usually just people saying it's great and then other people saying it's overrated, but /utg/ is like, people whining about how they are bad at drawing, people posting a ton of fanfiction, etc. Looks a lot like another non-4chan site which shall remain nameless.
Undertale OC is also generally really low-effort and awful for a reason I can't explain. Go on Youtube and look at all the video clips from TV shows and movies where UT character faces were just pasted over the faces of actors in famous movie scenes and stuff. It's pretty nauseating.

/lit/ has had a literary magazine for a long time. In the past it was exclusively /lit/ posters and readers and no one made money from it, actually the guys running it paid out of pocket for server hosting and stuff. Not sure how things are now but I doubt they've found a way to monetize.

I get your point completely and kicking up a fuss about a tripfag within a thread is giving them what they want, but I don't think ignoring them really solves anything. They'll just continue to use the trip until they do get attention and if they're not called out on their shit we're just going to see more and more people use a trip like I have been doing recently

There are also tripfags who make good content but using the trip is only to make a cult of personality. If you draw, people will know it's you. You don't need a fucking trip unless people are giving feedback. And if you're greentexting, then only put a trip on when other people are greentexting in the thread and your greentext is one people care about.
