Hiro, for the love of Yotsuba, please calm down on the board creations. /trash/ is a pointless board that serves absolutely no purpose and there's a reason /new/ (your /news/) was deleted in the first place.
Pretty much every board on 4chan has been consumed by cancer, and the ones that haven't are in the process.

/trash/ was created so that people could have /fur/ without Hiro needing to directly create it. Very clever of him, considering how much people would have flipped out if he'd actually called it /fur/. And yes, MLP is furry.
Calling it a pointless board is dumb because it overlooks this completely. He literally gave the furry crowd exactly what they wanted.

Not only that, it's a /fur/ that has almost zero overhead. It's literally the trash bin for other boards, so the mods don't have to moderate it (except for loli/shota for some reason).
I suspect that's part of the reason why an actual /fur/ never came about: no one wants to moderate a furry board.

I doubt this will be seen by Hiro, but here we go.
I'd like to suggest that /trash/ get thread creation turned off.
As it is, trash is one of the best implemented boards on 4chan.
It will give the most retarded users on 4chan a place to actually practice their trades, but will keep them quarantined. We can keep the loli posters, the tulpamancers, and the Steven Universe fags all in one spot. They will know their presence isn't encouraged, but still provide them a place to post.
Hopefully this will keep 4chan with a smidge of dignity instead of being the full cesspool of the internet it would be if we encouraged loliposting with it's on board.
If thread creation is turned off, it will prevent /trash/ from turning into /b/2.0 and provide another function of keeping the cancer posters off of other boards.
Ideally, the way containment of threads like the Steven Universe General will be started on /co/ and then when they are moved to the trash, the original poster will be given a limited ban on /co/.
It will provide an economic decision for these fags to continue their hobbytalk on this site.
In short, I'm suggesting we keep /trash/ secret and pure for as long as possible, but kindly reveal the place to the shitposters that need it the most, while then excluding them from the conversation on the boards that don't want them in the first place.

I think the reason thread creation is allowed is so people don't attempt to get threads moved to /trash/ as some sort of game by breaking rules on other boards intentionally.
