What would even be the point of having a term "LGB"? Gays and lesbians are both homosexuals. Call them both gay or call them both homosexual. It's like calling straight females something different from straight males.
I would also say that it makes no sense to have a separate category of "bisexual." If a person has sex or wants to have sex with people of his or her same sex/gender, then that makes them gay. It just needs to be understood that not all gays exclusively have gay sex. Think of it this way: If a pedophile has sex with a 20 year old, does that make him or her not a pedophile? The answer is "no."

Really when you touch upon this concept it escapes the bounds of this website alone and travels into the realm of the entire human population.
In the human population, there are too many of them, and too many of them are of sub par quality. The ratio is far from ideal.
Which is why if a subgroup branches out, the ratio will differ from the ratio of the whole, for better or for worse.
As the subgroup accrues more and more members, the subgroup reaches a ratio closer to that of the whole due to the Law of Big Numbers.
The Law of Big Numbers is why in gambling the house always wins. As you start to gamble, you win some and lose some and your ratio is skewed heavily. As you continue to gamble, the range shrinks until you reach equilibrium on what the house/individual ratios are set at. And the ratio is always set in favor of the house in order to make a profit.
The only winning move in this situation, and thus in life really, is to participate for a short period of time in any particular activity only. The longer you play the more you approach the established ratio, which is non-ideal.
Many do not care for this as you end up "winning some, and losing some". The stress caused by this is too much for some and they prefer things to stay the same, so they opt for the stable non-ideal ratio.
Which is what many of the posters of this website do.
