Why isn't reCAPTCHA v1 the default? Those who enjoy the image solving could explicitly select it.

Is it hard to click the setting? Newfags shouldn't be spoonfed

4chan should an usable CAPTCHA system like 8ch. I'm not talking about the temporary 24-hour CAPTCHA but the CAPTCHA itself. It's local (doesn't rely on Google) and it doesn't fuck up all the time.

Image solving >> legacy captcha. It takes me <2 seconds to click the images, and 4+ seconds to fill in legacy captcha.

Fortunately, not everyone is a sucker like you.

I don't know about you, but whenever image captcha fails and I switch to legacy, it also always fails. Without exception.

It needs to be the default on everything.
Look at this shit. LOOK AT IT

the image solving captcha makes money. This was part of a deal with Google. Not publicized because Google doesn't want association with 4chan for obvious reasons.
Look at the 'janitor log leak' that came out the exact same time the picture captcha was introduced. Classic misdirection. moot is more clever than people give him credit for.
Can you think of anywhere else where people would be autistic enough to solve that many picture captchas a day? I've solved hundreds since introduction and I'm not even a very frequent poster.
tl:dr, picture captcha is about tuning Googles image recognition software and isn't going anywhere unless Hiro turns to ad-based revenue, which is probably coming.
