Why?

What exactly are you asking?
>>337357
1) The painter is complete shit and buggy as all hell, and removed and unremoved constantly.
2) It is essentially a drawfag board (i.e. casual drawthreads where people don't care much about /ic/ type faggotry). But in the year of our lord two thousand and fifteen, most active boards have their own individual drawthreads. This means that there is no reason for drawfags to ever go to /i/, because they can stay on their home board where it is comfy, and draw things related to their own interests instead of having to comb through threads about shit they don't like to find stuff they do like.
3) The board is dead. This is a vicious cycle.
The board doesn't have many people, so people don't go to it, because it is dead and it's not fun to be on a board with a post every few hours, so the board has even less people, so even less people go to it, and so on.
Solutions:
Recode painter to actually work reliably and well.
Ban drawthreads on high traffic boards
Advertise /i/.
it was never really alive

4chan X has a built in painter now.
>>337717
4chan X just loads the same painter /i/ uses.

Report bugs to
https://github.com/desuwa/tegaki/issues
It's open source, so presumably they'll take code contributions from the community. Some big things I think it needs are keybinds (especially undo), a bucket fill tool, and performance improvements.
>>337717
Bump because /i/ seems like a nice board
>>337357
>14 minutes pass
>a single post is made
>meanwhile on /b/, during the same amount of time there's been 1500 posts already

>1 post per 14 minutes
>459000 posts
If the entire board had existed at this rate, it would be about 12 and a half years old, slightly older than 4chan
>>338966
The post rate doesn't stay in place though, it changes every single day. For other boards it happens faster though

What the fuck happened in July?
>>338972
People were replying to the oldest thread on 4chan that was about to get bumped off of the page 10

>>337357
Care to explain why you want it to be a fast board?
>>338971
Where do you get these neat graphs from?
>>337374
Most drawfags use it as they porn dump.
They know the threads last for eons so they can safely leave their stuff there for everyone to see
