>>trash should not allow posters to make new threads on the board, only to have threads moved there, otherwise it'll basically be /fur/ or /nfswmlp/.
>>
It shouldn't even exist

the purpose of it is to let mods delete off topic threads but still allow the people who were in the thread to post in it, but every thread that gets moved there instantly dies so what's the point?

it's probably just another thing hiro wanted to add for no reason

/vip/

I heard another chan has a similar system but the threads stayed on the same board and were put into an off-topic subsection.
>>
>>332252
Moving off topic threads to /trash/ is an amazing idea. But letting them hit the normal bump limit too.

Unless that's how it was supposed to be and I just didn't understand.

>>332292
Yeah but removing it from the board completely sounds pretty amazing. It'd have to be done in a way that doesn't alert the people in the thread at all to be effective. It allows all the off topic posts to talk about whatever they want till the thread dies, but keeping it off the board it doesn't belong.

Am I the only one who thinks it's a honeypot for furrfags?
>>
No because people will try and deliberately get themselves moved onto /trash/.

Who cares if it's /fur/ or red /mlp/?

Furfags shit up /b/ regularly and /mlp/ has long griped about not being able to post pony porn.

I don't really see the problem. And I despise bronies.

>/mlp/ has long griped about not being able to post pony porn.
Catering to them is retarded, if they want pony porn they should get it from the sites made it. If anything, we shouldn't even need porn boards, a good majority of the internet already exists for it
>>
>>332632
I don't really care. Them having a board in the first place is catering to them.

They aren't exactly going to leave. I'll support most things that just keep them quiet and non-confrontational.
>>
>>332246
Nah they should just start moving shitty threads there so there's more activity and other threads get pushed off faster.
>>
>>332252
Its literally the first week, give it some time to slow down first before saying shit like that, remember how chaotic /his/ /aco/ and even /qa/ were at some point
>>332625
I think the same thing, i am just going to lurk for a while to make sure its not another /fur/, its pretty tempting though, i have to admit

I think it would be cool if there was a way to tell from which board the original thread was redirected from, it was a bit confusing to see a /qa/ thread there for example, since name fields are non existent (Thank god) maybe something to replace them on the OPs could solve the issue, unless of course this would cause some issue related to "ontopic" on the thread
>>
>>332651
if it's a honeypot you could just reset your IP
seriously doubt that would happen with hiro in charge though, plus there's been plenty of legitimate threads moved there from other boards and it'd be just bad in general to ban people just for wanting to continue on with the thread.

I do agree there should be an indication of what board it came from, either by adding a link in the OP or by changing the thread subject or something.
>>
According to the archive most thread that get moved are not even going there

>>
>>332638
This.
>>
>>332738
It depends on the thread. A VN thread was moved from /a/ to /jp/, for example. If the thread hasn't a specific place here, it goes into the /trash/.
>>
>>332744
The people who mod /a/ are the only ones that actually bother relocating threads.

/v/ could really use some relocating. E-celeb trash should really get relocated to /trash/ on sight. It's a temporary solution since those faggots can discuss their shitty celebs to their heart's content. One about Cosmo Wright just got autosaged instead of deleted or relocated.
>>
I'm hardly seeing furry topics. It's mostly just meems and mlp shit. As soon as the novelty wears off for/mlp/ it's probably gonna be meme central desu senpai
>>
>>332856
They already got burned with April /fur/'s Day plus most just wanted to post porn on /aco/ and cheesecake stuff in other boards.
>>
>>332859
Pretty much this.
