I came to 4chan in 2004 because I was sick of l33t speak and garbage forum posts. Other than on /b/, I didn't see near as much of those things, many posts appeared to be written by people that at least didn't totally flunk out of middle school English, and most posts at least had proper capitalization.
As the site became more popular over the years, I've noticed a greater number of posts with all lowercase, particularly egregious spelling and grammar errors, and generally shitpost-quality content.
Caps lock, *actions*, censoring in the "f*uck" style, and the like are also cropping up more frequently, and I can't tell if it is trolling to buttblast autists like myself, or if normal people are posting to the site more and more, bringing their shitty internet habits with them.
I can't say I am shocked by this trend, but it does make me a bit upset to see it become more and more commonplace.
