I think it's safe to say that frogposters are on the same level as furfags and /mlp/ posters. We should create a rule that bans pepe from being posted outside of /r9k/ and /b/, similar to how we deal with pony posters.

It is indeed getting out of hand.
>>
>>325795
The hilarious thing is that this is totally wrong, because you DIDN'T ignore it.

You have no idea how powerful the reddit frog is against delusional "quality posters" who will gullibly reply to any shit bait you throw in front of them.
>>
>>325795
This was created by a newfag.
>>
>>325799
You're right, some of us didn't ignore it, because we recognized it as a problem. Meme bullshit belongs in /b/. /b/ is not meant to leak into the rest of the boards. This has always been true. "gb2/b" was basically "go back to reddit" before reddit was even a thing.

But we were told by the likes of you that we were overreacting. And now that this has indeed proven itself to be MLP all over again, you still try to deny it.
>>
>>325812
>I-I'm not delusional, replying to it is the only way to stop it!
Cry me a fucking river.

A (You) is the closest thing this site has to an upvote, and if you haven't noticed, making whiny reddit-tier /q/posts on super secret meta /b/ has not lessened the tide of frogposts at all. In fact, your whining attracts them like flies to shit because they know that the second they pull one out you'll instantly burst into a fit of thread-derailing masturbatory rage about how they're not shitposting in the "quality" way you like to shitpost.

In other words, just fuck off, let the goddamn thing die, and stop clogging up my catalog with your whiny pseudo-intellectual drivel. You're part of the problem, fucking deal with it.
>>
>>325795
How do you feel about The Great Gatsby?
>>
>>324641
You guys are so upset at something so little it's no wonder that shit isn't going away.

I'm almost starting to wonder now if all the furry and mlp content in the past wasn't just trolls laughing at how pathetically easy it is to irritate the delicate feelings of some people on 4chan.
I bet half the frogposters were people who hardly ever even posted pepe until they realized how butthurt they could make people by doing it
>>
>>327578
That's exactly what it was, that's exactly what's happening here.

I wish Reddit would leave.

In reality, people who deliberately try to piss off large groups of strangers feel unable to garner respect from the people in their lives.
4chan has always had a troll culture but it wasn't so inwardly focused. It was about pranking outside communities and the internal trolling was often tongue in cheek - an inside joke.
Today's autistic 4channer has no friends and no concept of good humor. They try to piss people off because of their inadequacy and need to frustrate people because they are frustrated themselves.

Moot called out this kind of view that 4chan is for epic trolls and you should try to piss people off all the time.
No, that is insecure adolescent behavior for teens who never found a peer group. That kind of "trolling" is by shit kids with no dads who wish someone would notice them.
>>
>>327664
There's a complete difference between going out of your way to find something that pisses people off, and just observing that an image which was never designed to upset people suddenly started doing so.

For example, I don't know what you personally like, but lets say you like some show, story, or character, and you've posted it here before. One day you post it and half the thread gets inexplicably upset. Do you stop posting it, or when some anon calls you "cancer" for posting it do you post it again to as if to tell you don't give a shit about their opinion?

"feels good man" is something you could see everywhere on 4chan, nobody had a problem with it.
Why should I suddenly hate pepe and never post him again just because some faggots on other boards decided I should? Maybe their board was getting spammed by it? Fine, but what the fuck does that have to do with me?

I have nothing against it, and yes I do find it funny how easy it is to trigger the people trying to force their own opinion onto me.
>>
>>327683
This,
A billions of time this.
>>
>>327683
>Do you stop posting it, or when some anon calls you "cancer" for posting it do you post it again to as if to tell you don't give a shit about their opinion?

I ignore it. I don't need to try and antagonize them over it because I really don't give a shit.
In addition, if I reacted, people would try to antagonize me again.

That is the reasonable thing to do. That is what bronies should do. But they can't because theyre too insecure to let it go.
>>
Most of you are missing the point. This is /b/ leaking onto other boards on a large scale. You don't tolerate /pol/ crap on other boards. Why should this be any different?

If those wishing to keep other boards on-topic and /b/-free are "part of the problem," then why even have different boards? There should just be a hundred pages of /b/ and be done with it. Does that sound good to you? Because that's what you're advocating.
>>
>>327709
>I ignore it.
Sorry, but I doubt that.
Everyone is a self proclaimed pro at ignoring things they know they are supposed to ignore.
But when push comes to shove and you see people telling all the newcomers that you and everything you like is cancer when it never was before, you can't expect me to believe you're just going to walk away.

>>327711
But what is the leak exactly? Because I was under the impression that the problem was spamming it.
You don't have to go on a complete witch hunt and get rid of every shred of that thing just because some people were spamming it on some particular board. All you're accomplishing by doing that is creating more resistance from all the people who were neutral before because they think you're an idiot for taking your hatred of it so far, and that leads to more spam

If everyone was so good at ignoring shit like this (like the guy above is apparently) then there wouldn't be so much pepe posting today
>>
>>327721
>Everyone is a self proclaimed pro at ignoring things they know they are supposed to ignore.

I can and I do.
You I suspect, like a lot of bronies, have poor self control and will respond to every slight against your fandom.
>>
>>327683
>I do find it funny how easy it is to trigger the people trying to force their own opinion onto me.

Very revealing. Stated opinions are being "forced onto you", so you have try and piss them off in return .
Why not just handle their opinions with some grace?
Or is this the usual thing with autists having difficulty with others opinions?
>>
>>327739
>handle their opinions with grace
>>327731
>I never once have trolled someone acting like a dumbass

yep, classic /q/ - /qa/ style replies.
Everyone's a fucking saint here right?
>>
>>327748
>I just can't help myself and nobody has more self control than me

No wonder brony drama never dies, sheesh
>>
>>327711
>This is /b/ leaking onto other boards on a large scale.

But that is way more than just the frogs though, and this is what pisses me off the most about the latest wave of shitposting about frogs and other shit like tbhsmhfam, there is so much more cancer than some guy posting a krautchan meme you don't like, the spamming of it is just a side affect of a much greater issue that should be tackled.

>>327739
They are though, just look at this fucking thread, or really any other thread. If someone dares to post the wrong meme, people just spam "dumb frogposter" over and over again while they have the audacity to think they are themselves not shitposting, or they make shitty /q/ post here whining about how much it triggers them.
>>
If we make a rule against every harmless thing that retards do, there will be no more 4chan. (It is assumed that posting with your phone would be banned under this policy.)
>>
>>327785
They can literally genocide real frogs for all I care as long as they ban phoneposting, please make it happen.
>>
>>327664
Further to this, I suspect that everyone who tries to piss people off deliberately are themselves involved in hugboxing communities.
It fits because they try to piss people off due to insecurity about themselves and the weakness of their convictions. In the hugbox, nobody violently disagrees with them (drama explosions notwithstanding) and in-groups/out groups are strictly enforced so nobody feels unwelcome.

I call it the shitposter-hugboxer nexus.
Tell me, has there ever been concerted, long-term shitposting without a hugbox behind it? Either irc or steam chat or a general? It always seems to be the case.
>>
>>327818
and the people who themselves get pissed off and post in meta threads about banning what they don't like are not "hugboxers"?
>>
>>327824
found the hugboxer
>>
>>327824
Not really, no. You just can't handle opinions.
>>
>>327828
now I'm not sure you know what hugbox even means
>>
>>327831
Let me guess - your hugbox is not actually a hugbox?
>>
>>327818
>>327828
>>327833
This shit doesn't make any sense. You're saying the people who piss you off want a hugbox, but you wanting to remove things you don't like from the site means you don't want a hugbox?
Sorry to break it to you, but you guys got it backwards.
>>
>>327818
>I suspect that everyone who tries to piss people off deliberately
>nobody violently disagrees with them
what the fuck are you even talking about?
>>
>>327836
>You're saying the people who piss you off want a hugbox

No, I'm saying people who piss people off deliberately are denizens of hugboxes when they aren't deliberately pissing people off.

>but you wanting to remove things you don't like

I don't want to remove anything from the site.

I think you're on the defensive because you engage in some subculture here that would be characterized as a hugbox.
>>
>>327565

>>
>>327840
Two different communities. Reading comprehension, anon.
>>
>>327840
Weak people cuddle in the cuddle chamber to raise their confidence. Then, they venture outside the hugbox to shitpost as a way of validating their identity and to challenge their convictions.
Bronies do it all the time.
>>
>>327836
>want a hugbox
No, they already have one. This discussion is more general than just about frogposting, anon.
>>
>>327843
I'm not on the defensive by assuming you want frogposting deleted because this is a thread about banning frogposting. Did you not read the OP?

Pretty interesting reverse psychology here.

Dude you are being defensive as shit.

What hugbox do you take part in?

Posts like yours with no meaningful content is what it really looks like when someone is on the defensive.

the last thing 4chan needs frankly. the last thing we need is a pony repeat of retards screaming at inane and random things. hell it's possibly the same person. barneyfag said that he's triggered by pictures of mentally disabled people and given the pepe images I wouldn't even be surprised.
>>
I'm all for it.

>>

Redditors have always been getting triggered by frogs. It's just that now they have a centralized place to make their whiny posts about them.
>>
>>334977

>censor
You mean like how spam is "sencored"? Or like how porn is "censored" on blue boards? Or how anything remotely /pol/-esque is "censored" outside /pol/? Or how requests are "censored" outside of /r/? Or how "Garbage Outside of /b/" is censored on boards other than /b/?

>retards screaming at inane and random things
If having rules is "censorship," and if not wanting every board to just be a /b/ clone is "retarded," then sign me the fuck up!
>>
>I don't like it, so BAN IT
I hate frogposters as much as any other guy, but come the fuck on. Literally /q/.
