/acg/ - Academy Generals
For the discussion of information seen from an academic (that is, multiple valid points of view aside from the usual, scientific one) perspective. I suppose most of those questions don't have easy answers, and since there are several different schools of thought and careers to see things through, maybe each one could have a general.
History, Theology, Philosophy are catch-all points of view, in that they talk about humanity in all of their aspects. Maybe not so much with the latter. Literature talks about the struggles of humanity and their highest achievements, Films can also represent those pretty well, as most Artistic expressions do. Studies about language and math are also pursued in /sci/ and (surprisingly) /r9k/ every once in a while, but they are seen from a STEM point of view, highly technical and answer-based.
In short, /acg/ is a thing 4chan does not possess. The question is, is there enough need for such a board to be created? I would say if we have /po/ and /mlp/ and /vp/ and /3/, we should have /acg/
